Good For You
03:22
|
|||
Never did I expect to see someone like you knocking on
my door. Much less sitting there and asking me what
you’re looking for. And then you said to me “oh I know
I’ve heard that you are good.” But trust me babe I’m
nowhere near as good, as good as you. But oh I think
this will do. Oh it’s good for you.
Making money, I’m making friends, I’m making this music
to get loud. Helping out I’m spreading love. I’m changing
the faces all around. When that fire is in the air it’s smiles
that I can only see. Maybe it’s killing me but right now
I’m living all about me. But oh I think this will do. Oh it’s
good for you.
So many faces that I see. So many places I’ve felt so
free. Your face alone it lets me know the world may see
eventually & positively.

Modern Girl
03:16
|
|||
I fell in love with a modern girl and it’s shame that all she
told me was a dirty word but I knew all along. I wish that
I was more than just an angry boy and I swear that I
have always used the magic word but I heard I was
wrong. I fell in love with a modern girl and all those
books they like to read they all have dirty words that I
know. Take some advice, don’t stress, life is short (it’s
time well spent) but my friend we’ve gotta go home.
I stole two kisses from a modern girl and it’s a shame
that I was done before I’d earned a third but I knew I
wasn’t strong. I wish that I could see what we were
really worth and if only I had listened to a single word oh
no I was too far gone. My dreams have changed so much
that I don’t feel the same, I laugh sometimes I don’t
remember your name. I laugh sometimes. Take some
advice, don’t stress, life is short (it’s time well spent) but
my friend we’ve gotta go home.

Love Songs & Platitudes
02:28
|
|||
Eat your vegetables. That’s real advice. Real advice. Take
your time with it. No rush. No rush. I’ll take nonsense
over cliché any day because love songs and platitudes
don’t change my attitude.
If it means that much to you I’ll sit and ponder what you
say but if you’re putting on a show please don’t forget
the ones who paid. I’d rather you offend me. I’d rather
you offend me because love songs and platitudes don’t
change my attitude.
Can you hear the people laughing? Drifting close to
ecstasy? Why would I silence brighter music, a joke has
much more life than me. I have an agenda. I have an
agenda. Love songs and platitudes don’t change my
attitude.
Say something please or give me energy. The minstrels
come to discompose the town. Love songs & platitudes
don’t change my attitude.

Make Some Money
04:36
|
|||
I’m starting to doubt evolution because I’m still here. But
I guess it doesn’t matter because if I’m loud I know I’ll
have fun. These things in our hands are good for
something I guess. Not sure what it is yet but soon it will
all make some sense. All I gotta do – make some money.
People they ask me sometimes “how do I survive?” I say
I sold my body, sold my soul; I stay alive. They say your
music sounds alright maybe I’ll buy a CD. But if I were
you, I’d just download it for free. All I gotta do – make
some money.

Anonymous Son
02:42
|
|||
Hey. Go to work. Go to bed. Hey. Go to work. Go to bed.
Plug it in and tune it out. Feels so good, stop, forget
about that thing over there. So many things. We’re
getting fingerprints everywhere.
You are my friend, I can’t contend; these walls have
taken care of me. I’ve not slept in the snow, I’ve got
somewhere to be. This soul’s not old it’s somewhat cold -
a boring sack of empty deeds. The people need to hear
nothing from their anonymous son.
Hey. Eat a bird. Grab a leg. Hey. Eat a bird. Grab a leg.
Chew it up and put it down. Tastes so good, stop, forget
about the people over there. So many people. I’m just
gonna keep eating this chicken.

Nobody shows me what I want to see. I think it’s funny
that you sat next to me. Nobody tells me what I want to
hear. I’ll just sit down and finish my beer.
Go. If I speed I’ll make it home in time. Go. Let’s get
drunk to see my kids and wife. Time to fall into my lazy
boy. Do it again just like I did before. Fluorescent lights
and primetime TV.
The van’s not as fast as I want to go. Fuck soccer
practice I’ll sell it for blow.

One day we’ll hit an asteroid and all of the corn will be
popped. One day we’ll hit an asteroid and all of the
doors will unlock.
